INTERNATIONAL KESTRELS ~ 2014

So many nice kestrel pictures here. And such good news about egg #3 for the kestrels in Dettingen, Germany (thanks to Ferenz) and egg #1 for the kestrels in Wloclawek, Poland (thanks to Ioza).

Here's a link to Ioza's post from earlier this morning in the International Peregrine Falcons section (falcons at one time used this nest). But now that the kestrel pair (Kuleczka & Pusio) have laid an egg, for 2014 it's a kestrel nest so we can start tracking it here with the other International Kestrels.

Female Kestrel on the ledge today, she's been scratching around & lying on the scrape for longer periods over the past few days so egg laying looks promising...

Thanks for all the nice kestrel captures (and video) today. It sure looks like the Worcester kestrels are close to their first egg, and it's nice to hear that the Dettingen kestrels now have four eggs.

OK so I just came across this nest, does anyone know about it please? Its dark so I can't really make anything out except that it is adorable and sitting on 6 eggs

Kittenface - Thanks for finding the new kestrel nest. I did some searching and found out that this is a Common Kestrel nest located at the Walworth Barbour American International School (WBAIS) in Israel. The cam is part of the scientific project called GAIA (Global Awareness Investigation and Action). I added the nest to the Kestrel Cam Links page and the Kestrel Nesting Calendar.

The female has been spending time in the nest box today. Perhaps an egg will arrive soon.

The kestrels have been keeping watch over their precious eggs.
