Bird Cams Around the World

SAW ONE OF PARENTS HAVE TO ANCHOR ITSELF WITH THEIR TAIL AWHILE AGO TO KEEP GUST OF WIND FROM BLOWING IT OVER! UNSURE IF B3 WILL HAVE THIS SKILL AND BE ABLE TO RESPOND QUICK ENOUGH. JUST RIDE OUT THE WIND SNUGGLED NEXT TO MOMMA B3!

As I was walking out the door, I caught this..

but dad came in again just before that , at 11:46Mt with a little tid bit for mom And B3 and then flew off.

then flew on right back lower branch at 11:54 MT

dad flew out after that little nest touchup LOL 12:-1MT

mom back in at 1:18pm MT

getting windy again

Assorted pics from today...the wind has been terrific and has made for some interesting landings..we've got trees down in metro Atlanta...I haven't heard of any damage near this nest...

Lunch arrives...first food of the day...and this is what sparked the discussion of "is this Mom or is this Dad" I had forgotten how much the cam angle distorts size on this nest, especially now that they've pulled it back some...for example, a parent has just landed but is toward the back of the nest and looks like a munchkin. (I think its Dad)

...anyway...very awkward landing..LOL..B3 snatched the fish immediately..but then released it...and the feed eventually started.





This is what threw me off...the obsession with this particular stick...which was the object of "affection" several more times this afternoon. Now that I look more at these pics, I should have known this was mom just based on the front and legs..





This went on for a while...then as the discussion was heating up on FB, the other parent arrives..and its obvious by now that Mom has been on the nest and its Dad coming in. He almost runs into mom..but does knock her off balance. Left wing goes out, covering B3..LOL





As Dad pulls in his wings, Mom is trapped underneath his left one.



...and its back to the "stick", totally oblivious to the fact that they have had 1000's of viewers panicked over a MIA mom and no food..LOL (Dad on right, Mom on left)

1:48pm MT- dad has flown in also so all 3

1:50pm MT- dad left and then back with food and leaves again. Mom calling for a bit after he leaves
1:55pmMT= mom is gone

2:13pm - mom back
2:20pm MT mom gone and is still gone at 3:22PM MT

I am posting in MT instead of time on cam as someone in FB said time on cam was out by an hour and I was not sure.

I will post more pictures after but thye are here a lot today. I did not watch a lot yesterday and so do not know if thye were like this yesterday and some did not notice that it was mom??? I personally thought I saw mom yesterday but did not take pictures so could not defend position.

2045 CDT B3 IS ALERT AND ALONE IN NEST. STANDING ON ONE LEG WITH OTHER LEG TUCKED UNDER HIM. HE LOOKS GREAT! DO NOT SEE ADULTS ON APPROACH CAM @ THIS TIME.

2050 CDT LAYED DOWN AND NOW ASLEEP!

2 fish have already been brought in
both parents have been here

I have to post picture and small video later but mm came in after 5pm and then later Dad was on came lower branch to right back as yesterday and then came in.

Mom is on branch at right side of tree and dad flew off

My computer is acting up

2122CDT B3 ASLEEP AND MOM ON BRANCH. EARLIER, I SAW B3 SNUGGLED WITH MOM! NICE TO SEE FOR BERRY BLUEBIRDS! BBB MOM LAYED ON EGGS FOR AWHILE EARLIER TODAY. I,VE HAD ENOUGH OF DOGWOOD WINTER AND NOW I MUST GO SNUGGLE WITH MY DOGS.

0905CDT B3 WAS HIDDEN BY MOM AND HAD TO WAIT FOR HER TO MOVE TO MAKE SURE B3 WAS STILL IN NEST. GAVE ME A LITTLE HEART JUMP @ FIRST. MOM HAS LEFT THE NEST NOW. ALL IS WELL. BBB HAS LAID EGG#3.

a nice fish came in and a good feed. I have video but am really struggling right now with conversions and you tube. Takes forever. do not know why
