Milwaukee Power Plant
Per Greg Septon, Lightning, the male at the Milwaukee County site, moved to the UWM Bio-Sci building in early June and was positively identified on June 10. He is raising Hoffman's chicks as his own. Hoffman's body was found on the roof of the Bio-Sci building this week. Greg does not know if he comes back here and helps current female.

Can things get anymore complicated?

I looked through Kittenface's video collages... On June 10 the cam at Milwaukee County was panned so that we could view the ledge and the perch. On the 10 through the 17 of June, Tahoe was found in many of the hourly clips sitting out on the perch, with her back to the chicks. It kind of makes me think Lightning does not come back.

That was my question!!! Was he run out? Is there really another male at Milwaukee that just hasn't been reported? Is lightning going back and forth? I posted a map under Biosci..

I saw the map and have copied your entire post from yesterday and put it here. He very well could be at both sites. Hopefully Greg will include more in his next nesting report.

Good Morning! They have Pleasant Prairie on the live cam. Two are flapping like crazy! Can fledging be far away? I was wondering if someone who knows how to do videos would record them since we see them in motion so rarely.... Then I was wondering if the person who manages the cam would put Milwaukee County on the live cam sometime so we could observe how Tahoe and her babies are doing..... Thanks for listening....

I'll try and get some video also I was wondering if someome is supplying Tahoe with food there is SO MANY carcasses there or maybe Tahoe is just a great provider. I see there is a green band on one of those leftovers maybe a pigeon breeder is close by

I've been trying...every time I check either nobody is in view, or they're "lounging"...LOL

This is for you, tsusan...not terribly exciting..but, did catch a parent fly up. Interesting to see a parent land and NOT get mobbed by the kids..

I'm thinking early morning/late afternoon will be our best bet to catch some action...

Thanks for your replies SGB, Kittenface and Gigi.... Yes, I noticed just before I left this morning that the kids at PP had quieted down ,,, honest, they were practically knocking each other out of the nest box earlier! I had to smile, Kittenface at your comment about "all the carcasses" at the MC site. When Tahoe was still hanging out at Bio-Sci, she was constantly eating. One time I came on, and posted "Eating Again!" and Gigi posted "She's a wonderful hunter......." ( and remember the mess she left at Bio-Sci ?) Thank goodness she is if she is feeding those kids without help.... I am wondering what the building is across the street from the MC nest... I didn't realize this nest was right in a town? The building looks like a community center or YMCA or something....Thanks again, guys!!!!!
