From Greg's report regarding 2015 males at MCPP ~
"On March 12, female (b/r) 33/U, produced in 2012 at the Eastlake Power Plant nest site in Eastlake, Ohio, returned to the MCPP site after spending time between there and the UW-Milwaukee EMS (UWM) site over the winter. 33/U, who nested at MCPP last year, was likely driven back to MCPP after the unbanded female at UWM returned from migration and drove her away.

On March 20, Herbert (b/g) 80/N, who was produced at our Valley Power Plant in 2004, turned up at the MCPP site and began courting (b/r) 33/U.

During the week of April 1, Herbert defended the MCPP site against another adult male identified as Asa (b/r) 17/M, who was produced in 2013 at Milwaukee’s UWM site. Herbert courted 33/U and defended the MCPP site for over two weeks. But by April 4, it began to look as if Asa had taken control of the MCPP site and Herbert had moved on.

Herbert nested at Milwaukee's Miller Brewery nest site between 2006-2010 and at Milwaukee’s St. Joe's Hospital nest site from 2011-2014. Over the past month, Herbert was identified at the Miller Brewery, MCPP and St. Joe's nest sites, so he’s been making the rounds.

Herbert may now be back at St. Joe’s with his mate DJ (b/r) 54/E, who was produced in 2010 at the Edgewater Generating Station nest site in Sheboygan and currently is incubating four eggs.

As noted in the March 5 blog entry, male Suzuki (b/g) E/06, produced in 2006 at our Pleasant Prairie Power Plant nest site, was identified at the MCPP site on Feb. 8, and he subsequently spent a few weeks there courting 33/U."

:snowflake2: I think the surprise is Eclipse making a rare appearance at Oak Creek...by the way, is this pic :hatchegg: teasing us that eggs are around the corner (or maybe 2 corners...)?

:snowflake6: Thanks, Kittenface- It's nice to see good old dependable Thilmany, and the less dependable Valley Girl. On many levels I wish Tahoe would just stay at her nest site at Milwaukee Co. I don't want her to lose her nest, And I don't want any confrontation with Mrs. Bio Sci!

My dear Thilmany is such a good girl, she sure keeps :teehee: me happy right along with the Valley Girl.
I am hoping things go alright for Tahoe she needs to get back home where she belongs .

:snowflake3: I checked on the WE nests just now- Tahoe was a no show, but Somebody left their prints in the snow in her nest box... Valley Girl was there for 2 consecutive hours. Are her old eggs just going to be left in the box? Thilmany at Pleasant Prarie was a no show also - I think for the first time this winter. Presage Isle has turned to yet another view, looking along the shore at the power plant, and no Falcons. Eclipse was a no show at Oak Creek.........

:gaaaaah: Hi - Granted I don't know as much about falcons as many of you, but wont it be a while before the falcons start spending time in the nestbox? Wont we miss some great views of them out on the perch with this "new view"?

Susan, they may change the views before anything happens. At least, that is what I am hoping for!

See the Blog update about Valley and Port Washington..its from December, so it may have been posted before..

It looks like the cam is still broadcasting from the old box and the lattice is forcing them to move to the new box? If you look at the comparison pics from the blog, the old/new boxes appear to be in different locations. Now why the heck they didn't move the cam...or maybe the new box has a new cam that hasn't been turned on?

Who knows...

:snowflake6: Thanks, SGB - that makes more sense! We have not seen Brinn since the new box was evidently installed... Maybe she thought the old box had a prettier view... :teehee:

KF..you may want to post again...Your question isn't on the blog!!

When you look at the pic of the new box, it sure looks like its wired for a cam!! Big cable going into the back of the box...
