lost my video but dad brought her a nice supper. She has really been up and off and checking eggs last while. Too hard to see if anything but ...

i will post video a bit later but something came near nest and she went into defense Did no t last long but she was listening for a bit and then out went her wings.

everything fine now and she is sleeping. tired to see on approach cam but it would have been out of our sight.

I saw where you were talking about. I think that was just part of the nest material. At night everything looks so darn different. I saw an egg at FSV nest the other night that didn't exist :teehee:

I've seen the eggs several times this morning...and haven't seen anything yet...of course, viewing is limited to one side of the eggs...LOL

Excellent vid from Donna N. Its rather long..and I have a few minutes to go on it..

Several views of the eggs AND an intruder...sounds like a GHO to me...



AND...Bev...thanks so much for your great coverage above...I should be able to watch more today...but, I'll be gone most of Friday day...so I won't be much help...

I saw that defensive posture and forgot to press play but there was a hiss and that is exactly what I thought , a great horned owl. there was no hiss in the defensive posture the other night.

I am not able to watch next while much but will put recorder on when i can but it only runs so long. first hatch was day 39 last year.

Well, I finally caught a switch...I'm not seeing anything with the eggs other than just a blur when I try to really enlarge them....gonna try a different approach next time...

Mom had been calling dad softly for a while..he finally arrived and just missed landing on her head..LOL

Possible pip!! and posts on FB seem to think so as well..Cam 2 is down for me...

Dad had brought in new grass. Mom was very reluctant to get up this time. Some of the new grass blocked a good look at the eggs...

Berry has confirmed a pip....and there is fresh fish on the nest!!! I'll be gone from mid-morning on...selfishly, I hope this little one waits until I get home this evening!!

I took pictures last night but thought my eyes deceived me again. is this a different fish form the one he brought last night that she did not eat.

Bev...as far as I know, this is fresh fish from this morning...

I watched until about 1:30 am eastern and didn't see it..but, that doesn't mean it wasn't there...
