here's the very end of that feed, Bev....Mom wisely stopped it as the wind really picked up..WHEW...really made me nervous..and you're right, they both had very good crops...AND mom ate a foot (not in this vid)

I think cam 2 is streaming better than cam 1...at least for me..

just got home and reviewed video and 2 more small feeds but crops are full. and mom ate as well. the wind a problem for her though. hope it dies down a bit.

Mom is still snoozing...currently 12 F (-11 C) at the nest...high expected to be 29 F (-2 C).

Possible light snow/sleet/freezing rain Friday evening..but, then a warm up on Saturday!!

I missed it. I think there was a very short (frozen) feed. Hopefully, Dad will bring in something fresh soon.

Dad just brought in a small fish...of course, Mom is still hunkered down...hope she doesn't let it freeze..

I'm having issues with both cams streaming..so, probably no vids until it gets less jerky!!

Short feed...no bopping and both ate. Chick on the left never stood...probably no reason..but, mom did step pretty hard on one of them earlier. Wind gusts are causing her to lose balance and misstep...may be the reason for short feed...who knows...I think winds are supposed to die down later today!!

so dad came in and mom talked to him. He arranged sticks and then mom got up and dad left. so I think mom just wants to cover chicks in this wind. And maybe wants more in larder. dad wanted to stay though.
wind is not as bad .

one bopped other down it got back up and when mom started to feed it got bopped again but it started. it so it remained down for short feed . it got back up but not sure if fed. saw it get a bite just as mom ended feed. no worries.

sorry, I am out for most of day. do not have time to post video

just want to ad that I did not realize that , mom had a break form nest real early this morning.

mom is up for a feed little one only got a few bites and that fish is gone . mom just ate rest. but there was not aggression. hard to see sometimes if it got in little ones beak. he kept dropping it.

Several good feeds today...Could have been a duck...I know there was another coot brought in and I think they pretty well wiped out the squirrel that was there this morning...I missed dinner..so, don't know what they had..

They had already eaten, but Dad fed them again...AFTER Mom left...sneaky!!

Another frigid night..lows expected in the 10-12 range..Also, the nest area is under a winter storm warning beginning Friday at 1 pm Eastern..maybe snow/freezing rain/sleet...but hopefully above freezing Saturday afternoon!!

looks like a great day here. Kids are doing fine. the bit I saw, B5 can give as he gets LOl but aggression not bad.

my computer really slow so still waiting

adult in with more prey turn sound off



I notice that mom wing flaps up in nest now so she will not step on kids.

My observation is the nest is closer to rail and she has more trouble maneuvering
