Thanks KF...interesting...close up cam is working for me...but, glad the eagles moved..that nest is pretty pathetic looking!! Didn't they nest elsewhere last year too? I also just read that cam at the alternate site probably wouldn't be installed until the end of the season or early next winter. Guess we'll just have to wait and see..

Well, heck, we seem to have another missing-in-action dad. From what I understand, he was initially around and sharing incubation duties, but for the past week or so, has not been around much and when he does arrive, he has been known to stand and stare at the eggs, rather than incubate. Mom has had to leave the nest for extended periods of time, presumably to eat. No one seems to know what might have caused the behavior change in Dad. What is it with the guys this year? New dads? Busier protecting nests? Very different and interesting, as well as hard to watch, (thus the Watch Caution).
