Both there now and one brought in a stick . . .

Image

The way they are moving around in the bowl, there's no way an egg could survive. They are back to nestorating . . .

And now both gone again . . .

Thanks for the early morning pics...I kind of dreaded even checking in here...this nest just wore me out yesterday...Someone is on the egg right now...maybe they just can't decide what to do..I'm very thankful it is so early in the incubation process...maybe she has a third egg in her somewhere...and if she does, I hope she holds off a bit...wait to see what this new storm system is going to do...I would hate for her to lay a third only to have to go through all of this again....

morning everyone, well, afternoon. we can't quite figure them over at Maine this morning either. I looked at the nest but it's so bright and I now have a migraine after all that stress yesterday (at least that's what I'm blaming it on!).

Earlier this morning while watching, one was tromping around the bowl with no care whatsoever. There is no way an egg could have withstood that. I have no doubt the egg(s) are lost. Let's pray they can recover and lay more eggs.

Busy with nestorations today. They have been digging the bowl to empty snow too. Hopefully it will melt fast, so they can get back to business. They don't really know what to do with the new sticks at this point, so there is a lot of finessing going on.

Lets hope not Susan...its going to snow again tomorrow, but then clear for a week.

When I was on the Norfolk chat room this am, Reese said they would try again a month from now. I know Norfolk had a shorter turnaround two years ago between clutches...

I watched this cam today to see what they were doing. They have been eating and rebuilding the nest bowl and bringing in nest material and stick. It is quite heart warming. :loveshow: :loveshow: there is anther terrible storm due tomorrow and Wednesday but I am hoping not as bad as they say. Maybe that is why they were eating so much today. they look very well.
I will go back and do a slide show and post it :waveht:
