Just checking in from vancouver isalnd.
I was sure scared this morning SGb. Glad dad came in.

and the snow. hope it stops soon

I have to say , we have been thrilled so far by all the eagles we have seen. They are starting to pair up and saw lots of gorgeous juvenilles.

this morning walked down to heron rookery
by my brothers. Wow and Wow

Peter forgot camera but now have my brothers so hopefully I can get some photos.

will be checking

Your Vancouver vacation sounds wonderful Bev. Frank was a guest at one of the fishing lodges a few years ago and was overwhelmed by all the eagles. Everywhere. He ended up catching, with the help of the guide, the largest salmon of the season. I would imagine someone broke that record later, but it was HUGE! He brought it home and my kitties were so eager to help me get it repackaged into meal sized portions. :teehee:

I hope the snow stops soon in Georgia. Mom is doing her best to keep the eaglets warm, dry and fed. :girlluv:

Cams 1 & 2 are down. Approach is working, so only way to see Mom is if she stands to shake off that snow! FB says they have more than 3" of snow now, with more on the way. You can actually see tree and nest better than usual on the approach ... with all that snow! Stay safe and warm Mom and Dad Berry and B4 and B5!!! :loveheart2:

They probably have 6-7 inches by now and its still coming down according to our local weather..my beautiful snow is now mush...rain and sleet mix currently..

Cams are back...and looks like Mom is finally taking a break...Dad's on duty now!! Temps should be going above freezing later today, so will lose a lot of this snow..

Looking out my brother's back door. He's about 5 miles from the nest..

I asked him to send me one of the front pond...

Not the best...I lightened up the vid some so we could at least see the kids..at the expense of washing out the rest...

This is part of the feed..Thankfully it lasted long enough for B5 to get some good bites. I don't think the kids wanted it to be over, but dad ended anyway..

Cam 2 is ahead of Cam 1...

At 1311 on DVR Mom arrives with fresh nesting grass, which she plops down beside Dad, who is on duty. Dad leans over and spreads it around him a little, but doesn't offer to get off his babies. She cues him several times with "stares", that he acts like he doesn't see, by looking the other way. The only time he offers to look her way is when she gets a little close and I think he's afraid she is going to peck him. :teehee:

Really cute, Dad caves after 12 minutes and gets up when she indicated she needed to feed them. :flirty:

Thank you, SGB! I'm so glad to see that the kids are in good shape after the storm, even though I know Mom would do her best to keep them warm & dry. :flirty:

So we have some eagle dads that are like that, too! :teehee:

Some of the peregrine dads won't get off their eggs/offspring until their mate gets fed up with it & intimidates them into leaving. Those same dads push the boundaries in trying to feed their kids, too! DC in Rochester has been known to bring food to the nest & when Beauty insists on doing the feeding, he leaves & takes the food with him! :laugh2

And you know catwoman ... won't be long and we get to enjoy the peregrine season ... full swing!!! Okay you all ... I was @ the diner this eve ... and who show's up on the national news ... that's right ... Mom Berry on her snowy nest!!! :5val:

Speaking of snowy nests, I see it's all gone, but there are 2 little white heads sticking out from under Mom with their eyes open and it's 29 degrees! Get under there and go to sleep!!! :loveheart2:
