Just [pooping in. Lot s to do but I do have cam up and both are incubating and I am going to look back at all my pictures later because I do think that Lib was incubating before. Because I was not familiar with this site I was not commenting on my thoughts . but after looking at this more and more, and some of the loyal watchers saying that unless they are together they do not know who is who, I am going out on a limb and say both have been incubating and I am going a step further to say that I really think that last egg is viable. I have been reading a lot and even thought it was left unattended at time, it was not unattended in the evening or when it was really cold nd the sun was out and it was protected. I think Lib was concentrating on getting the nest built up after the storm and bringing in more nest material ,which makes sense. And remember ,those of that watch Columbus ,when Scout did not incubate that egg. It hatched.

So I am extremely positive here and if I am wrong, the eagles are doing what instinct tells them. and that is all that counts sometimes. Nature is waht it is :arrhrt: :arrhrt:
We will see :waveht: :waveht:

An egg shot before Belle settles down on it:

bev, I just now read your previous post, and I can tell you with 100% certainty that BOTH parents are incubating. I've seen the switch off several times in the last 24 hours or so.

Right before I took the "egg roll" shot, she was doing a lot of wiggling and squeaking sounds. I wondered then, but couldn't see. What do you think? A 4th egg?

Well, after looking at this blowup, one could be her foot balled up:

Has anyone checked the blog? I've only been checking the still cam cause the live cam locks up my computer. I can't believe she'd have enough energy in her for a 4th egg.

Wow, that is unbelievable!!! I thought eagles needed time in between clutches? Thanks everyone for keeping such a close watch on these two. "As the Eagle Turns" :loveshow: :loveshow:

Patti, I did check the blog and saw that another person felt she saw two eggs also. She described the sounds and movement exactly the way I saw it too. Maybe we both are wrong. Would not be the first time for me. ;)

I've been sitting here for 2 hours trying to get a better picture, but Belle is staying very close to the ground when she turns the egg(s).

YIPEE!!! How about this sweet pair of eagles - their persistence certainly paid off in results. I think if they could make it through all those snowstorms, they can make it through anything.

:sfcheers: Here's to Belle and Liberty!
