Priscilla - Your Facebook links didn't work for me, but then I'm not a member of Facebook. However, I have seen both the male and female together in the Hungary nest shielding the chicks from the sun. It's quite a sight when the whole family is squeezed into that small nest box!

Matera - 4 eggs now.

Kempten (cam 3) at FENEPARK - 5 eggs now.

Trebon - At least 2 hatches, maybe even more.

loza - It's really going to be something when all the eggs turn into chicks at the Kwidzyn and Wloclawek nests!

So many beautiful snapshots - Hungary, Wloclawek, Steinhuder meer - and such good quality cams at that!

Lesser Kestrels, Elyakim:

21:20 - Another nightly visitor - a harmless gecko this time.

Lesser Kestrels, Matera:

May 12, 5 PM - Hard for M to cover all the 4 eggs!
Note: the "Italian" M isn't taking incubation shifts as often as often neither as long as we see the Elyakim males do.

Lesser Kestrel, Matera:

A 5th egg! And that where the female was incubating almost continuously already since laying the 3rd egg, which would have made the 4th egg the last egg. But today she seems to leave the nest for longer periods of time and let M really take over incubation - this could indicate that egg production is now over. Right now, she's been away for over 1.5 hour.

8:45- F has left the nest, M arrives and finds the 5th egg - "oh no, not another egg!"

Is anybody online who could watch the Elyakim Lesser Kestrel webcam for a while?

About 40 min. ago, the female suddenly jumped up as if stung and rushed out the door. I heard her alarm calls (tsek tsek tsek) several times. There were strange "sniffing" sounds sounding close (like a pig sniffing).

4:08 local time - chicks look up wide-eyed as F suddenly leave the nestbox

Then another sound occurred - as if a ladder was placed against the wall. Immediately I had to think of the year some of the chicks were stolen from the nest, but maybe it was just a harmless animal walking over the roof of the school?
The sounds stopped, but the female hasn't returned as of yet. The chicks were alert for a long time.
