Thanks to all for the terrific pictures and video. I've seen that look of puzzlement before. It is so funny isn't it? How sweet they are bonding. :loveshow:

I am giac, the administrator of birdcam.it

That's my first appearance on your forum, glad to be here!
and a big ciao to everybody

Vergine is the first female laying this year in Rome.
We are actually monitoring 5 urban nests, all equipped with cam

-Aria and Vento were the first breeding pair in Rome. We expect them to lay soon (actually there is a toto ongoing on the possible laying date, my guess is tomorrow February 28...).
-Alice and Virgilio, 4 years later were the second pair (with 3 eggs)
-last year Aloa and Falcao bred for the first year (3 eggs) they are now visiting their nest often and we expect them to lay soon. The cam is working but not on-line.
-Appio and Vergine is the new pair: the nest was installed two weeks ago and ewe xpected Vergine to lay later in the season but she surprised us anticipating all predictions. The cam operates only 10 h per day, later we will extend the broadcasting.
- a new pair is occupying a new nest in the South-East of Rome, birds are seen frequently on the nest. We will see.

I thank the administrators of BCAW for hosting our cams on your beautiful portal and all the bloggers visiting our cams and wish you enjoy the breeding season 2010
giac

Welcome Giac, and thank you for hosting such beautiful cams. Your falcons have great personalities, and are very fun to watch!! Its nice to see so many falcons in one city. There are enough pigeons to go around!

Our peregrines also like swifts as a snack but it's too early for the swifts as yet. Later in the season, the chicks have a varied diet of pigeon, swift, starling, golden oriole and anything else that takes the parents fancy while "shopping" :geek:

This little falcon went into the box and called out for it's mate, but they did not come for some minutes while I was watching.

She's been in and out of the box all day. Sometimes Vento comes when he's called but other times he's deaf (like all mates ;) :x ). Today he brought her a green-blue coloured parrot for "lunch". We all wondered where he found it. There is a colony of parrots living wild in Rome but they're not that colour! :?

Oh wow, how interesting Warbler. I hope it wasn't somebody's pet, oops. :o
Yeah I get the 'no answer' treatment at my house too sometimes.

Yikes, hopefully someone isn't missing their pet. It happens frequently around here too. They obviously don't know much about living in the wild.

OMG, Warbler!!!  I know I shouldn't laugh, but that just cracked me up...I must be tired...

(my apologies to the owner of the parrot, if it was indeed a beloved pet...)

This falcon is soo cute, I could just take a picture of every movement. A few minutes ago there was lots of horn blowing going on below. The perplexed looks on this little beauty were priceless, but I am sure they are use to hearing all sorts or city noises.
