Rain Doesn't Dampen Activities Of Harriet & Beau 10-05-15
Harriet and the sub adult left early in the rain to perch on the poles. Both seemed more relaxed and comfortable as they perched and vocalized together. Both behaviors are part of bonding for this newly courting pair. The way of the eagle continues to unfold before our eyes. May we observe and learn - not judge or predict. Ozzie would want us to go forward with Harriet. Miss you, Ozzie.

An eagle is calling out @ the nest tree ... it is not an alarm call ... I don't know what is going on ...

Visitor post saying Harriet and Slim in the nest tree and a 3rd eagle flew in @ 10:10 and landed on same branch as Harriet. :girlsad3:

OMG!!! Harriet was knocked off her branch by an intruder after midnight!!! I think that is Slim on a branch opposite side of tree from hers or @ least this was their positions @ nightfall in the nest tree.Video by Patricia Malcom:

This is a highly pitched chuckling sound given in a laughing manner and is often heard during courtship with both birds making the call. The SA moves some sticks in the nest but does not bring new sticks and leaves early to the NW. The way of the eagle continues to unfold before our eyes. May we observe and learn - not judge or predict.

Fly Over & Short Visit To The Nest 10-07-15
No eagles were in the pasture area at daybreak but a familiar looking pair flew the west pasture tree line from north to south at 7:30 am. The sub adult made a short visit to the nest, using it as a look out for sweet Harriet. The way of the eagle continues to unfold before our eyes. May we observe and learn - not judge or predict. Ozzie would want us to go forward with Harriet. Miss you, Ozzie.

They have a plaque in memory of Ozzie on the pasture fence. I hope one day a bronze statue of Ozzie and Harriet can be placed @ the site. Miss Harriet is seen from the far cam high in the nest tree and Slim from the nest cam tilted toward a branch right now.

The return of M15??? SWF eagle cam is requesting photos taken of M15 near the time of Ozzie's return be posted to their site for comparison. I did see one photo posted by David of tail feathers of M15 then and now ... that was VERY convincing ...
