I wonder if Greg know that there is a different male Falcon here now
I was looking thru todays pictures and this is not the Sampson from
last year maybe I'm wrong but I look at the pictures from 2009
and numbers don't match up

I'm going hunting now to see if I can find out who he is

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I don't know how to get hold of Greg or even if I should to see
if he knows about the new male

Well I just got snoopy again and found a little bit more about Sampson
February 24, 2010 - Samson" (b/g)E/43 was found with a broken wing
in the central Houston area. He underwent surgery at the Wildlife Rehab
and Education Center for his severely injured wing. He is recovering well,
but the injury was serious enough that he may not be releasable.
Samson paired with an unbanded adult female at the UW-Milwaukee EMS
site and produced 4 young in 2009.

Great detective work, Kittenface! I emailed Greg Septon before & thought I might have an email address for him, but no luck. SGB might have one. If not, maybe there is an email address at one of the WE sites. I'd look, but hubby needs the computer now.

Well I got an email back from Greg
well I guess all the snooping didn't pay off
Hi Jannice,

Re. the image you sent, I believe this male is actually 54/M. See attached image
taken on March 5. If this is indeed 54/M, his name is "Hoffmann" & I banded
him as a nestling at the Edgewater Generating Station in Sheboygan in 2003.
He paired with an unbanded adult female at the MMSD site in Milwaukee in 2008
producing 2 young. On April 16 last year I identified Hoffmann again at MMSD
but no nesting took place. It's only a short flight from the MMSD site to the EMS site!

No recent news re. Samson -

All the best,

Greg
