Thanks Bev. and Freddie...love the vids!!

I've been watching Dad, who was on the kids. Mom had just been standing there and he was ignoring her...she finally moved in and he responded with a couple of verbal protests before getting up!!

She is back on the kids...

:5val: I love that B6 & B7's hatches were so close to one another. Those little bobble heads are really a-bobbling!

Lots of rain during the night and mom is pretty wet. Also, lots of fish on the nest. Dad has been busy. I haven't seen the kids yet this morning..

Thanks for the vids, Freddie...

I've watched several feeds (via the DVR) so far. While there seems to be some "bopping" going on, its not too bad!! (knock on wood)... I've also seen some beak battles between the two which are kinda cute. Hopefully, both will stand up for themselves. Mom seems to do a really good job (so far) finding the eaglet that hasn't had a lot of bites, even if it means passing over the widest mouth...in this case I think that mouth belongs to B6.

Excitement on the nest this morning... beautiful:
From YouTube and FB:
Published on Feb 17, 2016
"Scary morning, for sure. Mom accidentally drags one of the babies out of the bole with her talon. Baby seemed stunned for a minute, but then Mom started feeding both babies, and he seemed okay. Dad arrives and wonders what in the heck is going on. Both parents brood the babies together. Very special time. Video by TNTalons."

(I needed Kleenex for this - must be getting old! :flirty: Just a heads-up for you!)

WOW...that was amazing...I am so glad I didn't see that in person!!

Eagles are "strange". I guess most of them are hardwired to "babies in bowl"..."babies outside of bowl" don't really register. I'm so glad Dad figured that out..and that mom eventually pulled the baby back under her. I keep equating that situation with a falcon, who wouldn't think twice about grabbing a baby and plopping back to where it belonged..

Bonbon, thanks for finding and posting the vid...Mom and Dad together like that was just so sweet!!

great video bonbon. There is so much hay that no wonder it got knocked out accidentally.

I did these photos yesterday and forgot to post. I just witnessed this a few times today so I thought you would enjoy. Dad is sneaky. He really wants to brood. He comes in and gradually works his way over, and maneuvers mom out of bowl. mom starts to feed while dad works his way around and broods. Mom leaves. in this one, mom comes back with fresh hay and dad reluctantly leaves . They are a good match

Loved the slideshow, Bev....and you are so right...he really wants to be with the kids!!

I got these before I had to leave.

Dad was patiently hanging around. Mom was ignoring him..LOL

Image

He waited and waited then decided to move in..

Image

He stood there for a few minutes. I thought he might nudge her, but nope..

He either decided to change his approach OR to be be useful..

Image

Time to move some sticks.

Image

This finally caught Mom's attention and she got up...hahahahaha

Image

He moved in...except, she wanted to feed..but, he ignored her...LOL
