Eagles are still on osprey nest.

Added: E's left osprey nest at 4:48pm; 4:51pm E nest empty.

5:00pm+
Vulture (?) on E's nest. S/he may be taking care of the eggs....

both eagles were back on nest and dug in bowl. just left

there were 3 visits to nest by both eagles today. 2 were quite long.

A Turkey Vulture ate one of the eggs and rolled/cracked the other one. Forgot to take screenshots, sorry.

i do not get cams up till after 11 am cam time so probably miss some things but I did see prey on nest when I opened cam and so now I just checked my recording and one returned to nest for about 7 minutes to eat

I do nto know why I am not giving up but I guess soon it will be too late I guess I just keep remembering Norfolk , the year mom was driven off by a younger eagle. she had already laid eggs and between the younger female and an owl she disappeared, DAd had been seen courting younger femlae and then a few weeks later, mom reappeared and she laid another egg, whose is our famous Buddy.

I'm with you, Bev - anything can happen!
(Especially if this IS a new pair - or even if one of them is new - which I believe mom (at least) is new. After seeing what happened at SWFEC with Harriet and M15 - anything is possible... who knows!)

here is video for the late afternoon, and evening visits. watch times becasue they come and go. and it coincides with them , or one, leaving osprey nest

one is eating on nest again late afternoon in this little video . goes in at 17:06 and leaves at 17:19 :
then one comes in at 17:55 and then another one comes in and last one leaves at 18:14





so you can see they are not short visits

I do have photos also but I think this shows it better

this is what has me hooked . just turned on cam and nice big fish in nest

had the usual night visit to eat. Some buzzards were on nest in day and ate some of fish

By the time I posted this and went back to the nests, they were gone! Both nests empty.

have been tied up but not too much last few days. I am thinking they have another nest and maybe laying eggs now. Just my hto0ght . 'sounds crazy , I know but this happened in Sidney one year. I think too much traffic around the nest.

lots of snow tonight but whoooo is this LOL on osprey nest. not sure how long there as my recorder stopped but for at least an hour. not sure what it brought to eat



and then earlier our eagle with nice fish catch ( not long ) just did not have time to take pciutres)
