will check before bed but they have in nest this evening and on den branch

I do not know what you do about human daftness. Some will do anything to get a picture , and i mean anything. they could be seen just below nest with a a big camera.

That is why I am getting more protective of our falcons. I do not share very much ,any more with those that want pictures They do not realize, or do not want to realize, the damage they can do.

Those who know what is at stake are always welcome , but they are few and far between. GEtting either more protective or more cranky

I have everything crossed here for this pair

It was a good day today. Taylor brought in rabbit , Blair came to eat her gift.
although , 'Taylor's talon looks sore and he is limping, we have seen worse. I am hopeful it will heal if he can rest it.

Blair Flew To Mr. T.
Last night Blair and Taylor mated on the nest giving viewers some hope that this nest may finally get what we have been waiting for...eaglets! This morning Blair flew to Taylor (AKA: Mr. T.) and he was up to the challenge again. Is his toe feeling better. I doubt it. But maybe he simply knows it is now of never for the season. Blair has been very vocal with him lately showing her dominance, somewhat like Harriet at the SWFL nest in Florida. Everyone was leaning that they wouldn't have eggs either and they are watching their eaglets grow and change every day. Just maybe, we will see that here for a change.

We do want to stress to everyone, mating for eagles has to be near perfect. They are trying and we applaud them. When you watch a pair of eagles, patience is always the key. We can want, and want to the moon and back. It is nature. Nature determines whether there will be success or not. We have seen so much at this nest, and learned so much. And in the end, that is what the project is all about.

Taylor has been resting in the nest since around noon, according to chat (seems like much longer!). Blair has been guarding the nest and keeping him company!

Blair and Taylor have been here for a couple of hours! They were perched in the den for a while, then moved down to the nest. They seem to be relaxed; chillin'



I think I read on chat there may be an auction nearby today (maybe tomorrow); so you may hear it and the traffic on the nest. I remember the auctions from last season; didn't seem to bother the eagles.

Now, if only we'd see an EGGIE or two!

fingers crossed. an egg would sure help TAylor. it looks like most of mating attempts have been good, but then I can not see all areas LOL

Added: Blair was on the nest and perching branch (left about 15 minutes ago); there was also a mating earlier. If Taylor could lay an egg, I think he WOULD!

Blair came to nest at 7:51am, when Taylor got up, his foot must have been a bit sore - he used his wing to steady himself, still has a bit of a limp.
