they are great there. las t year they went out when one fledged across the street and stayed there till it went back.

I think someone lives not far away.

It is a big step up for this youngster. when it is hungry enough ,talons crossed

Justice made it back up at about 1 oclock. hopped up 3 branches to get there. and then flew into nest. There will be a video later

Juliet was feeding squirrel to Liberty. Justice flew into nest and immediately stole it!

In the AEF-sponsored Northeast Florida nest, Justice, one of the 2 12-week-old eaglets, somehow managed to find herself out on a limb 20 feet below the nest -- for 36 plus hours!! We fretted and worried, but Justice figured it out! Thanks to Mary Ellen Em who captured this video, showing Justice's newly-discovered flying skill, wherein she makes a successful flight back to the nest and to a delicious squirrel dinner! https://youtu.be/2-vvOoY5N-Q

Ground report: Both Liberty and Justice fledged this morning. :sum9:
"Way to go eaglets Liberty and Justice!!! Both have fledged from the nest this morning! Awww, our first empty nest of the season. Ground reports say that Justice was flying around and is now perched, no reports on Liberty just yet."

Justice has branched on Feb 29 (9wks) and Liberty on Mar 2 (10wks). On Mar 14 they both progressed and perched on the nest tree.

Is Liberty ok? Every time I've checked on the nest today, she is still laying in the same spot on the nest where she slept last night. Am I just checking at the wrong times? Or is she just tired from yesterday's adventures?

Sorry to be a worrywart!

Edited to add: 5 minutes after posting this, Liberty got up and started eating some leftover fish. I was worried for nothing!
