WE nest is up and running!!! It cam online while we watched!!! Dr. Sharpe was even posting on the forum while he was on site. Lots of technical problems with the cam but he got it going.... and about an hour later we were treated to a visit by Wray and Superman!!! What a beautiful sight they were!!

Superman alone at first ... then Wray comes in.

This is great! I had checked earlier today and the cam was still off air. Thanks for those pics, Patti.

Wray is on the nest this evening!! Hopefully we'll see an egg in the morning! The night vision is working but the cam gets all crazy lines at night so we don't have a good view of her.

First egg at this nest . . . I'm checking around to see if it came last night or early this morning.

No one is really sure about that ... it was dark and the cam goes all crazy after dark  ...but I think it's safe to say the 8th.

The cam went crazy in the bad wind they had this week - Steffani got it running again, but it's all messed up. Not a clear view - but they were able to confirm a second egg. Marked as being laid on the 11th. As soon as Dr. Sharpe can he's going to try and fix the cam.

Best I could get today.

I thought I could see two little ones moving in the nest bowl, but maybe only one. Also the eagle on the left was making long crying sounds before walking over and settling down on the chick(s):

The CHIL forum has posted that yes we have a hatch on WE! The little bobble head eaglet appears to be very healthy and active too when not shielded by SuperEagle and Wray :thumbegg: :egghatch: and one left to hatch. Some have stated that the other may be in the process of hatching too :thumbegg:

Wonder what the chances of two hatches in one day are . . . I could have sworn I saw two separate moving chicks. :o

Here's another shot I took but didn't post earlier. Blew it up and sharpened it up and then circled where I saw what I believe are two chicks:

I've been wrong before, though. heh heh heh.

Mine was taken 4:04 p.m. nest time. Well, it will be interesting to see what is there this morning!

Edit: Never mind. I went over to the CHIL forum and saw that someone had posted pics taken after 5:00 p.m. nest time with egg clearly visible. This will be another addition to my "you were wrong" file.
