From Avon Lake, OH nest yesterday (4-9), 3rd egg is pipped:

From this evening, 3rd egg is still hatching. The eaglet's beak could be seen moving in and out of the crack:

A tender moment between Mom and Dad:

Dad is doing an excellent job bringing food to the nest. There are too many fish to count! (And a very unlucky squirrel...)

Avon Lake tandem feeding.

There are so many fish in the pantry and Dad keeps bringing in more. They're going to run out of room for the babies soon!

1 Boy 2 Girls

"The three just over 5 week old eaglets at the Minnesota DNR eaglecam nest were banded today. Reports are that all went well and after being returned to the nest, Mom has been back and has offered snacks. Per a note seen on Facebook, two were determined to be female and one male."

That's all I have been seeing all day as well. The smallest seems to be gone. It was there yesterday.

Seth got a video early morning and it was feeding then. Then another a hour or so after, it was in the bottom of the nest not moving. I just can't figure out what happened in the span of 1 to 2 hours. The DVR doesn't go back that far.
eagleholic looked and didn't see anything either.

Avon Lake - I am concerned for the 2nd eaglet now. The 1st eaglet is active and feeding normally. The 2nd is moving, but hasn't raised his/her head up even when a parent is feeding. Could something be making these eaglets sick?

I don't know if I can watch anymore. I've had too many losses in my personal life this past week. I'll just watch for updates here instead until I feel strong enough to watch again.

You know what is strange to me, I have never seen an Eagle sleep as much as these adults do. Of all the nests I watch this one is sleeping at least 20 minutes out of every hour. I know I'm getting paranoid, but I just read another article about an Eagle that was poisoned with a carcass that had been euthanized. It is doing better but still its getting to be a pretty common thing now.
