DAvid Hancock helped nest rebuild one year, by putting up wooden platform and start of materials, to give them a head start .
there is a period where the eagles are not there as much.
I thought , the tree did nto look as good this year.
Yep - The original nest fell last year - David Hancock built one in a tree beside it - Ma & Pa accepted it - and 2 little beauties hatched this week! (see Delta 2, don't know how to post it - sorry)

Chat and Mods Tomp and Ice have been discussing where Harriet and M15 may build their nest if they do not choose the current tree. Saying there are no other suitable trees in this pasture. But, there are suitable trees along the tree line in the west pasture and the yonder pond too. Tomp is saying he thinks the yonder pond site has too much activity d/t the people riding over there in their buggies.

Still waiting for E8 to take the plunge! In the meantime E7 is endearing himself to his parents by bringing in material to rebuild the nest! They won't want this one to leave!

There is a report that E8 fledged and this is SWFEC Mod response:
Swfec Mod Today at 1:07pm Good Afternoon! Unfortunately we do not think E8 has fledged today as some have reported. We will wait for video to confirm whether or not E8 fledged. Thanks for watching and your interest in SWFEC!

Loza! It took her awhile, but she finally did it!
This video is by UrDogNu. In a later flight E8 was pestered by crows, you can see them chasing her and when she lands in a tree, they are dancing in the air above her! She tries to fly away from them, only to clip E7 as she goes for her landing in the nest tree and unfortunately E7 is unforgiving and eventually attacks her and they end up in the nest with E7 on top of her back. E7 was unrelenting!
SWFLEagles~E8’s After Fledge Journey, Flights 2 & 3, E7 Aggressively Charges E8~5–3-16 Wednesday May 4th, 2016 7:26:56 AM - UrDogNu Video captured/edited by UrDogNu. Thank you for watching! All cam views and slow motions clips... E8’s second flight around the nest pasture to the front pine, getting bombarded by crows. E8’s third flight back to the nest tree, nearly knocking E7 out of the attic and then landing in a lower branch. E7 wasn’t happy about this, hopped down to where E8’s perched and began karate kicking trying to push them off the branch, landing on top of E8, talons on back. It was a bit of an attack and intense. Dad delivers a huge fish around 7:12pm… E7 gets it…E8 still perched on the branch in front and below the nest. Finally makes its way up to the attic shortly after Dad departs. Looks like another fish delivery around 7:38pm while E7 was eating…E8 met dad in the nest, but didn’t see the fish, although I did see food in Dad’s talons from cam 2 incoming. It might have gone overboard. At 8:02pm, E8 wing hits E7 just before going in the for the successful steal at 8:06am. Mom brings nesting material to the nest…she and E8 share some special time together. Courtesy of Southwest Florida Eagle Cam hosted by Dick Pritchett Real Estate.
