Now that I have taken a stop back I can be more objective.
I had seen most of all that happened at this nest. It matters not how youngster fell. It was just a fluke of nature. no one really knows exactly what happened. just theories so time to go on.
Ma berry had struggled for a bit this year as she came back with a wonkier leg but has worked her way through it.
She has been incredible. she has brought home prey, lots of it, she has built nest, brought in branches and hay, no problems feeding and caring for young.
mom has a wonky leg and I know when it is damp and cool, it stiffens. mine does also

dad had a hurt talon for a week, but it was felt is was form pulling a branch. I knew once she did not have to brood as much her leg would feel better. fo r 4 day she was soul provider, bringing gin coot, squirrel, fish etc.
she has been seen by ground crew, hunting and perching and doing just what she should.
everyone has their own opinions and levels to where they can watch and no t watch.
I will not watch something die that can be helped but this, my friends, was not a fault of adults. It just happened.
even experts cannot say for sure what happened , baby just got too far out. too many theories out there. I will not even say for sure whether B11 or B10 but will not push the issue.
I am just thankful that we have one to watch. not the first time this has happened at a nest , and will not be last time.
my season is ready to begin soon, and I always have to remind myself , that i have no control over nature. Just watch , help when i can, and turn off computer when I cannot. and always be respectful of everyone here.
go Berry nest. onward and upward
