there was an intruder on the left branch yesterday after 4pm for almost 2 hours. Pa was on. we could not see it but ground crew could . It did not go nest but Pa was very upset ad stayed fast on the eggs and mantled several times

then we heard ma jus tbefore 7pm adn we heard cheering form ground crew and we saw branch lift and it was gone. It was after dark that Ma finally came on left branch .

th e ground crew figured maybe a 5 year old

mom ca,e om back door and dad falls back , instinct kicked in. She did n tland on him but.... He usually flies out when he sees her coming as her landing gears are not that accurate as she does no t want to land on eggs.

:1val: Indeed Bev,...talons crossed. I looked in on them over the weekend to see if either parent was listening to the eggs. No such luck, but all was well and the nest was calm. Mom is such a trooper. I love her. She carried in a big stick with her bad talon on Saturday and used it again on Sunday to bring in a clump of hay. I am amazed how well that foot functions despite the awkward way her leg is bent. Hoping for a hatch here soon. :15heartbeat:

Today is 34 days for egg 1 and 31 days for egg 2.

:16val: I have been unable to see a pip or hear a chirp since Pa arrived @ about 7:24 this morning. But, I am wondering if he is feeling movement under him as he has changed position 9-10 times since on duty with that familiar "look down" as if bumped to attention, just prior to his changing positions over and rolling eggs. :10val:

:15heartbeat: Shift change @ 4:15 with Pa bringing in more nesting material that she grabbed right away! Looking back on this afternoon, I don't think she changed her position as frequently as he did earlier, but she really reworked that bole when when she did get up!!

Still watching for pip, but nothing seen or heard. I believe this is day 38 for 1st egg. Hang in there Ma and Pa (and me :teehee: ) ... it won't be long now! :15heartbeat:

Some on chat believe they have seen a pip this morning, but I am not able to see one. Good look @ eggs on DVR @ 9:32 I believe.

I know there is an indent, but I also know that she appears to hear something, by her actions. But no one can agree definitely , that something is happening. But Ma know s :girlyes:
