:16val: Bonbon, Dr C is wonderful!! They are currently on one of the back trees and can be seen @ the very top of the screen @ immediate left. Pa came to the nest about 4:45 and aerated the floor. Shortly, Ma shows up with 2 sprigs of pine and tries to place, but Pa wants them on the rail. Both work in tandem aerating the nest floor before Pa leaves. Ma stood near the center of the nest for awhile before she flew off. It has rained most of the day, but dry spell for now.

:7val: At 8:19 Ma arrives to the nest with Pa immediately coming in from opposite side with a headless fish for her! She didn't waste anytime to begin to enjoy her breakfast!! Pa left a couple minutes after arriving. And after finishing her meal, Ma leaves @ 8:25.

:10val: Thanks for the heads up, bev. When I went in @ 11:00 they were doing the same thing. I thought they had stayed the whole hour, but going back on the DVR, I found out they left from your mentioned visit after about 6 minutes. Only for Pa to return @ 1045. In awhile, Ma flies in to a branch very near the tree on the right. Pa waited a couple minutes, then he flew to a tree to the left of her. At 10:52 Pa comes back to the nest and Ma joins him a couple minutes later. The stick placement dilemma continues with Ma placing it on the near, right, corner of the railing which I thought looked perfect. But no! Ma picks it up again and heads to the back, right corner! Pa intercepts and they had an old-fashioned tug-of-war with Ma the victor!! Eventually she placed it on the near, right, corner only a little further back this time. In the meantime, Pa left @ 11:02. She stood alone in the nest for several minutes before taking off @ 11:11.

:2val: At 11:56, I heard a scary-sounding alarm that alternates with a high and lower tone, following by a public service announcement that repeats 2 more times. Maybe this is Berry College campus weather alarm test. They test our tornado/severe storm warning alarms every Friday @ noon here, but they just wail in a single tone. Otherwise, just a bluejay visit here. I love bluejays for their beauty and boldness!! But, they look so small after watching the eagles! :10val:

5:30pm - they have both been in a lo t today, doing restorations . I have a few pictures and videos I will post later tonight. do not want to run till evening as i have other cams up

I will say this, we may have lost two young but maybe nature knew best. so much bad weather while incubating and it was wearing on ma's leg . She looks so much better now and is landing with assurance. So me th e positive take away , is a healthy Ma :girlyes:

they were boht on and pa has left as of 5:33pm . ma is still on

Gosh bev, I don't really remember Ma having difficulties with landings or @ least not consistently. Many times though, she would simply come in to the front of the nest by landing on the branch first and then hop into the nest. The back way may have been more difficult. I do remember thinking ahead that with 2 chicks up and about on the nest, it may pose a problem if she had a stumble coming in and had to throw her wing out to catch herself. The measure for me would be mount/dismount of the nest bole that seemed to be difficult for her @ times. I checked on the DVR this eve and did not see Ma. Pa did come in @ dusk and he removed B12 from the bole and placed prey-side on the nest. The circle of life was initiated, but not completed.

Ma and Pa to the nest @ 0700. Pa stands next to Ma while she eats and he leaves only 4 minutes after arriving. The circle of life is completed I think and Ma leaves @ 7:06. Short visit, but hoping they will be in and out today.

Pa came back to the nest and it seems the circle of life is not completed. He ate, but only stayed 4-5 minutes before flying off.

this is what happens when eagles stray away form site, and because no more eaglets, staying near i snot as valid to them. Ma is sticking in nest though at 12:21pm . this is her nest and Pa's . she is very watchful

:7val: Time has run out on the DVR and I didn't get to see Ma run him out of the nest. Might check out the old IE later as it goes back further. I did see his return @ 1105 with a stick! Wonder if he had plans of contributing to the nest? Ma calmly remained in the nest. The youngster ended up whittling his stick till he accidentally dropped it! They watched something in the sky to the left and he eventually alarmed! Pa must not be in earshot or maybe that was him flying trying to entice the youngster away ... He finally flew about 6 minutes after arriving and Ma peeked through the branches to see where he was going. She left @ 1235. Scanned the remainder of the DVR and did not see anyone. Hoping Pa makes an appearance soon.

:16val: Caught Ma running the youngster off the nest using the old IE. As of 4:15 no more eagles seen. Pa seems to show up @ dusk ... hoping to see him then or before!

Did not see any eagles visit the nest this eve. Did see an eagle fly up into one of the back trees a little before the IR came on.

:7val: Thanks bev! At 12:41 it is raining and Pa arrives to the nest with a headless fish that he drops to the floor and Ma is on his coattails. She takes the fish and begins to nibble right away. Meanwhile, Pa moves a stick and trims it while on the rail. Ma decides to swallow the fish whole! She leaves @ 12:44. Pa searches the floor of the nest where she was eating and finds a couple of droppings from her lunch and he consumes and goes to the branch and flies also within the 12:44 minute!! (This was Ma's 1st visit today and Pa had been in earlier this morning per chat.)
