I was very fortunate today to have recorder on when they panned. out. Jill leaves and they panned to top of cliff, in cam area. there was Jill an d jack just a bit out of view then you see jack fly off an d go to nest and jill flies a bit higher up. great job, cam operator :16val:

this is actually quite good. a nice look into where they go

:16val: I hope so, Gigi!! Between 10:57:25 and 10:57:30 you can see it stick it's beak out through the small crack! It's siblings are being fed and it wants to join the party!! Definitely progressed since I saw this morning!

:7val:I believe we have a 3rd hatch @ Dale Hollow! :7val: I may be technically premature with this announcement, as I can not definitely id the 3rd one in the bundle of moving white with the empty large piece of broken eggshell seen @ 3:01 under River. But, she removes this very large, shell-piece @ 3:30 and we have continued rain for @ least 2 more hours per their radar. And it's a nasty rain right now!! We may or may not get a chance to see DH8 this eve. Obey can be seen on a branch near her in the long-shot. (I am currently viewing @ Johnny's Birdhouse) Will wait till seen for sure or someone else can do @ that time ... to report on "Breaking News". :16val:

(Bev, was about to post what I have and stopped to read yours. I can not say for sure it is free yet.) I can tell you DH8 is alive, but not sure it is completely free of remaining shell. You can see it in front of egg piece moving when siblings are still standing a little apart and @ another point it is moving just barely to the right of both chicks. All you see is a sliver. Unfortunately, the siblings are hungry and bonking each other.

Went back to watch the feed @ about 5:30 and DH6 did a lot of bonking to DH7, but DH7 did manage to get a couple bites in. Of course DH8 did not have to receive food this early after hatch. I saw on chat that Obey the dad's name is pronounced Oh-bee and I have been pronouncing as we would normally pronounce the word obey when seen. River is on duty as I leave.

DH-River left @ about 6:45 and 6 begins bonking 7. When Obey arrives on nest a couple minutes later he begins the feed. Heavy bonking continues to 7 during feed, but 7 did manage a couple bites and 6 got the rest. DH8 is strong, but not positioned well for most of feed. Did raise it's head several times even after bonked by 6 @ least twice! Obey tucked them and remains on duty after the feed!
