Southern USA Eagles 2018 & 2019

At Dale Hollow, just witnessed feed awhile ago that 8 was unable to get a bite in, however a reliable source on chat reported 8 did get a couple bites in the 1st 2 of the last 4 feedings. Remains strong when up that I can see!

At DH yesterday afternoon, I did get to see a feed by River where all got bites including 2 by DH8. I thought that the feed was over when she left and Obey came on the nest and covered the pantry. But, they were still fussy and Dad decided to continue the feed pulling up strips from the prey he had just covered. All got bites including DH8 who scored 2-3 this time. Something I am noticing here is a possible intruder is nearby during some of the feeds from the parents reactions. Mom kept looking upwards and even alerted @ 1 point during her feed causing all 3 chicks to lie low in the nest and Dad hopped down on the nest shortly after and I was thinking @ the time that is why he initially covered their stash. The feeds are very arduous to follow here d/t freezing of the single cam if you watch on YT or the swing out if you watch from Johnny's Birdhouse to show cam 2 wide shot. I did see all 3 chicks "up and @ them" this morning with heads held high!! :16val:

Dale Hollow: 11 feeds today for the chicks. Saw on chat that DH8 is getting it's share! Saw a video of all 3 chicks standing tall with their backs to us from the bole as they watched Dad work around the edge of it!!

Dale Hollow: From River's reactions, I think an owl got too close this morning. You could tell she was watching something flying about the tree as she followed it's course. Then abruptly @ 5:49, she learned forward and slapped her wings on the nest!! Obey was nearby on a branch.

All 3 Dale Hollow chicks are doing okay. There were 9 feeds yesterday, with a new item added to the menu late in the day ... rabbit!!

Dale Hollow had 8 feeds today. The 2 oldest were peeking out from under River who is sleeping, while I was there. Obey is nearby on a branch.
