Ma not in yet this morning. Pa flew in @ 6:02 to the left branch, then hopped into the nest. He moved a stick to the right railing and then moved to the center of the nest for aerations. Next, he re-arranged a stick on the left railing, more aerations then to the right railing to have a look at. At 6:15, he got up on the left branch and after a hard shake to rid self of fluff feathers, he flew!

:15heartbeat: Per the DVR, Pa came in @ 2:33 and was initially lying on the bole area pulling fluff toward his chest, then he was in a more squatted position on the bole before leaving @ 2:45. As far as I know, Ma has not been seen today.,

:1val: Got to see Pa live tonight, when I 1st went in ... he looks great! Going back on DVR, Ma came in @ 6:54 with fluff and blood on her beak from a meal earlier. Pa joined her a couple minutes later and started stick placement. They aerated. Only 1 minor near-spat, then Pa grabbed another stick to move. Ma left @ 7:05 and flew to the back and upwards to a tree. Pa stood on the nest for 10 more minutes and then he too flew to the back and up to a tree. As far as I know, this was Ma's only visit and Pa's 2nd to the nest tree today.

Pa in @ 6:03 to work on nest! He hopped to a branch @ 6:11 and flew a minute later. Ma not seen so far. I caught Rocky on top of the nest trying to burrow some @ 3 something this morning, but he didn't stay long!

Ma is on the nest right now and while facing us, she looks thinner than normal. She came in @ 8:51 and side-view looked as usual.

I have to leave, but I'm concerned about Ma's weight. I have not seen her as often recently, but wasn't alarmed at times I did see her. She is still here as I leave.

Bev, I see she is still there. The thinness is not as noticeable from the side and certain angles, but when she is full frontal, it is very noticeable. I know they molt and I know they are losing some white fluff as she had a small piece sticking on the front of her today and when Pa shook sometime recently (I posted it) the white under-fluff flew off of him. With not seeing her as much in recent days and her staying on nest tree and nest overnight a few times previous to this period after normally going to the back woods to sleep, equals change in behavior to me and then seeing her thinner-looking, it concerned me. I am aware they will be here less and less @ some point soon and this is normal.

She's still here and in the same position, except she is half-way sitting now. She was working on a pellet when I was here earlier and apparently, still doing so from what I saw in chat. I'm worried. Her head is still turned in the same direction. I'm going to go back on DVR and see if she at least moves some.

Her tail feathers look split with a V-shaped gap out of them. If I could take pics, I would take 1 of her from DVR around 1:47, 1:50, etc as she looks gaunt and disheveled!! She basically has moved about in a circle ... is the only activity I saw on the DVR, although obviously I didn't look @ the whole 4 hours.

She left @ 5:51 without any problems. Her tail feathers were straight, so maybe the gap was from the rain and all that sitting she was doing. As far as I know, she was on the nest for 9 hours!!

Ma and Pa not here so far this eve. Ma was in for about 3 minutes mid-afternoon and then flew to the back woods per chat. I don't think Pa has been here today. I saw a flash of white flying across the screen in the back woods while I was here, but have no idea if it was one of them. I really wanted to check on Ma today.

:spring1: Came in a couple minutes before Ma left @ 6:48. They've got some greenery on the nest now. Going back on the DVR, I found Ma flying in with a stick and Pa was on her heels @ 5:56 cam time. They got busy with work to the floor and stick placement. Pa left @ 6:10 only to return a minute later with a stick. And he gets busy with stick placement. After moving other sticks on the nest, Pa leaves again @ 6:17 and back again 3 minutes later with sticks with green leaves attached and he placed these to the floor and rails of the nest. He leaves again @ 6:21, not to return. Ma remained standing on the nest till leaving as my initial entry. I did not get to see a frontal view of her this morning to check on her weight/appearance.

I don't think they were in this eve, but Ma was in mid-afternoon again per chat. Thanks bev, just now seeing your pics. She looks okay in these views, I did not think she looked okay in full frontal view, however on that day. I know both are loosing a lot of the white under-fluff as I have seen it flying from Pa when he shakes. Also, I remember someone on chat mentioning they were loosing their downy feathers. I'm wondering if she could lose enough that she would look slimmer ...
