five cheeky, hungry kestrel babies - and one egg. Will the sixth sibling soon hatch?

Kestrels lay their eggs at intervals of about two days. However, they warm the nest only

from the fourth or fifth egg almost throughout, so that the first eggs develop more slowly

and the last eggs faster - and all boys almost hatch simultaneously.

We are relieved at 18:05, when we count six hungry beaks at dinnertime.
All kestrels have hatched!
