:1val: Ma did spend the night on the nest, sometimes lying on it and sometimes standing. Pa brought his 1st stick before she left this morning and has already returned a couple of times with more to place!

:7val: Pa left a little bit ago, but Ma is lying on the nest now and I think she has decided to spend the night again!

:7val: Ma spent the night on the nest. Both have come and gone this morning. Currently, Ma and Pa are on the nest and Ma is lightly vocal at intervals ... I think she wants Pa to go get her a fish!!

:15heartbeat: Pa flew in at 8:57 with nesting fluff!! This is the 1st fluff delivery that I have seen this season. He started spreading it in and near the bowl, then some crows started vocalizing nearby, stopped him cold. Eventually, he went about his business of moving rail sticks. Next thing you know, he's lying in the bowl pulling his fresh fluff toward his chest. After resting there for awhile, he stood looking around and when something in the back woods caught his eye, he flew out the rear at 9:27.

:5val: Pa brought in more fluff and placed. Ma came in to join him and decided he'd brought the fluff for her and plopped down where she remains 4 hours later as I post this!

:15heartbeat: Ma was on the nest through the night. She was lightly vocal prior to standing at 7:23. She aerated where she had been lying through the night and Pa appears and hops down from the left branch to join her at 7:27. Ma flew out the rear at 7:29 taking some of the fluff caught in her right talons with her. Pa watched her leave, then followed. The approach cam is stuck at 2:20 am.

:7val: Pa arrived to the nest at 7:16 for nestorations. Toward the end of his visit he started working on the bowl. He got in it and started back digging with his legs. Then he was standing and Ma plopped into the nest at 7:23 startling him. They stared at each other and then Ma nosed her way into the bowl. Pa hopped to the left branch at 7:26 and flew. Ma remains sleeping in the bowl. The approach cam remains stuck at 2:20 am.

:5val: Ma stood at 7:23 after lying on the nest for the night and eventually something to the rear and right caught her attention. I wondered if she could see Pa flying. She flew within 2-3 minutes after arising for the morning.

:buzzybee: An odd occurrence! Pa was flying in, but Ma was on his heels screaming! They landed in the nest and she proceeds to grab his left foot and pull somewhat violently! He's okay. I think she thought he had a fish, but he did not. I believe she's hungry and am hoping he can bring her a fish before dark, but time is running out. She left 2 minutes after arrival and he about 40 minutes later.

Edit to add: Some are saying that was not Pa on the nest, but an intruder! I do not have time now to go back now, ("The Voice" is on!) but will wait to see if Berry adds video tomorrow.

:leafrock: Pa was in earlier for some quick nestorations before flying off. Berry has not weighed in on yesterdays incident and I can not find any videos so far. I went back in on the old IE late last night to review and who was there yesterday for the 2 afternoon visits had a light spot on the top of it's head and I found Pa with the same in only 1 pic or vid here. Usually, the top of Pa's head is washed out white as in pic quality.

:leafthumbs: Pa was in for a 2nd time awhile back during daylight hours and I think it was Pa in yesterdays incident as he looks the same this morning to me. If I find out that I am wrong, I will report. You really should have a peek at the nest bowl on the overhead cam as Pa has it ready for eggs as in ... right now!!

:leafthumbs: Finally, I came across a video of the incident I described above on 10/14/19. This is Pa, not an intruder. Although their back is to us ... no intruder would go about possible aeration work to the floor of the nest or bowl immediately after being yanked on by Ma like that ... only Pa would understand!! :teehee:

Surprisingly to me, Ma was not on the nest this morning nor for 4 hours previous during the night per DVR. I will be checking other cams through the night to see when she left and report back.

Edit to add: After standing for a long time, some preening, some looking around, Ma hopped across the nest at 11:58 pm and flew off at 11:59 pm ... :5val:

:buzzybee: Lot of problems with the cams freezing and jumping forward abruptly today. Difficult to follow action sometimes when they are on the nest. But, Pa came back at a little after 7 tonight and Ma appeared shortly after, both eventually gone by about 7:21.
