Thanks for catching these birds, Kittenface! Looks like pa is hanging around the OC falcon box & ma is hanging around the OC owl box! A trial separation? :shock:

There sure are alot of light colored feathers on this ones back I wonder if its a juvie

Well now I know that it is 2 different Falcons at Oak Creek there is one at both nests at 10 am today
The one on second pic is in the bottom right corner you can't really see it well but its there

Gee, Kittenface, you caught a before & after at the PP box! Maybe they noticed that one of the adults was spending a lot of time at the owl nest & got concerned that they're going to have trouble when the owls return!

Thanks for keeping up with all the nests her, everyone..ever since I needed to download an FTP client for the new forum, its really been interferring with me getting these cams..

BTW....I received the 2009 final report from Greg Septon....I keep waiting for him to post it on the website...but if he doesn't, I will post it here...

Here's the info On PP for you....

Adult Female: “Thilmany” (b/g) N/44 produced in 2007 at the Thilmany Mill site in
Kaukauna, WI. This was her first year at Pleasant Prairie.
Adult Male: “Dave” (b/g) P/36 a 2006 falcon produced at the We Energies Port
Washington Generating Station, also his first year here.
Note: There was a complete turnover of adults at this site with eggs laid by
two different females.
Eggs: 2 - 1 Laid on April 13 by a b/g ad. female, 1 laid by Thilmany (b/g) P/36
on April 26
Projected Hatch Dates: First egg April 16, Second egg May 29
Eggs Hatched: First egg on May 30 (47 days after it was laid)
Banded: 1 Female on May 30
This site has been active since 1997 producing a total of 38 yng. (2.92/year).
Banding Data
Name Sex Color Band USFWS Band
Chance Female (b/r) 49/E 1687-300362


AND....are you ready for this....the female at the Pardeeville nest laid a Wisconsin record 8 egg clutch (what was she thinking)...only 3 hatched!!!

Oh, my--8 eggs! :o Last year one of these nests had 7 eggs & 6 hatched. I'll have to go back & find out which nest it was & see if they had recuperated enough by this year to have any eggs! :lol:
