REd band
I am sad to lose our red band female. she just disappeared. REd was a hacked bird on Pembina that was a captive bred from Manitoba. She (SB) was born in 2016 and hacked here on our Pembina. WE will never know what happened to her. We have had such bad electrical storms etc. that Dr. court says one may have taken her. No sign of her anywhere.

but N17 - is a 2016 male form our WEber site in Edmonton. His father is DO1 and Mother is Green Girl. Do1 hailed from this site( Bill his father)
This female is N55- she was born at WEber in 2017 . DO1 , her father, and green girl her mother. So Bill is her grandfather.

She may just be passing thorugh, but it was a nice surprise to see her.

Our male that is at Bell, B/32 , came through here, just passing through at about this time, his first year 2016), after migration. He ended up nesting at Bell.
this seems to be a migration corridor for Weber birds. Bills grand kids all seem to want to see their ancestor home. LOL

I will have to give SGB all my adult info this year. such a hectic year that had no time.

drove there today and watched. Female on top of box and male on W . the male has a dark cap on one side and left side . not a full cap. He has no bands. I have to buy a battery charger as our camera was dead( these moves) . I do believe it si
green girl but she would not let us see her legs , while ewe were there

we are busy doing school work etc. but the oldest who just turned 9 loves to take pictures of them.

unfortunately , Gord had to close up box , and take away. They are working on whole roof this year. they have barriers all the way around.
We went to observe on Saturday.My heart is heavy. :sum7:

Green girl and the male were there. NO workers on weekend. I think they are trying to lay eggs on roof , where box was. We watched them soar and fly. sh went down on roof by box area and out of sight. It was really windy so we did enjoy their soaring and flying around. We will continue to monitor , and Gord will also.

we have a lot of phots ad whne I get them form camera will do a slide show. Green girl is one of our best :15heartbeat:
