April 24 Dad goes missing. E1 aggressive and finally on May 1 E1 pushed E2 from nest. E2 rescued but injuries severe and he was euthanized. RIP. Calendar updated

EDIT: There are TWO hatches - and a big fight in the nest box with a banded juvenile interloper! You can view it in the history.

Thank you...I did read that on Facebook..which seems to be turning into where to go for bad news regarding eagles, in particular. There is another nest (will need to try and find it) where all 3 eaglets have died, Dad is very sick, but has been captured and is being tested for Avian Flu, and Mom is still around, but feared to be ill. I'll see if I can find which nest that is.

RE: the MN nest...dad has been missing for a while..

:loveheart: On a happier note, Audrey returned to her Chesapeake nest today after her mysterious disappearance last week without any explanation. At least we now know she is okay. It will not be the same for her and Tom however as in the interim an intruder destroyed 1 of their 3 eggs and crows eventually the other 2. Will there be a reclutch...

Thanks for the heads up...I was just going through the history, looking for more hatches...will look for the "fight"...all appears ok right now.
