This was not a good day about mid afternoon
female really upset starting4:09- she left at 4:15


She did no t come back till 7:32pm- came in upset but left quiet at 7:48 huge crop
Male had come in at 4:33 and covered eggs and left quietly at 4:37
have not seen him.

9:23pm - Female came in with a chup and looking up and around
9:38- she finally wen t to box, rolled eggs and covered for a bit
10:05 - as I head to bed she is in stance and over eggs

I do not know what spooked her. lot s of ravens out there, hawks and owls. could be anything. Will try an get out there in next few days

i had trouble posting photos yesterday. will try again

We went out there to see what was bohtering her. stayed about 2 hours and it is the hawks. they soar past the box and over by next stack.
she is new so not used to them. Radisson would have had them gone , but there are a few nests not far from nestbox, so they have to keep an eye on them. We ha d found a deceased Hawk a few years ago, not far from nest box .When you see her look to left as , looking from cam to box, the male roosts up there. M27 used to , now he is roosting up there or in middle of top stack. We watched d yesterday. she roosts up top to the right as you look at box.

we had a young intruder on Sunday evening. not banded and could have been from last year, as it was pretty comfortable

no egg Sally. I just was prepared as she was up and down during evening. so just 3 , which is enough for a new mother

Female still tends sot get upset. Not sure what at, but except fo r that y9oung one, I still think it is hawks.

male has been out a few times but right back. He is looking fo r her. She could be anywhere. My heart is just so sad. I really liked this female

there is too much sadness thi s year

to top things off, this evening a young red banded female in. this is not a takeover, our female is probably deceased . I am stunned . thi s young female , has been looking up at where our female roosts and is wondering why she is not getting chased. Our mal e not happy.

so we will see but I will have as good a report as I can , when I regroup and sort it all out
