:eggthumb: Mom has been gone for awhile, thought she'd be back for a feed, but hasn't as yet. After some time, Dad arrived and guarded the chicks for a short bit, then left. Finally Mom back at 10:50 and a feed is in progress! Feed over at 11:08 and Mom leaves with the remains. It was a partially blocked feed for awhile, but 2 of the chicks were scoring all the bites, while chick 4 may or may not have received 2 bites. But at the end of the feed, chick 4 scored many bites as some of the others were no longer as active in the feed and 4 was better positioned. All chicks ended up with crops. Mom back at about 11:11 and started to brood, but found a scrap on the floor and gave it to a lucky chick. Then Mom broods.

:loveheart2: Dad calls from off cam and Mom gets up and leaves. Chicks are rising and stirring around with their big crops. Then Mom back with food and a feed is in progress! Feed over at 12:09 and Mom leaves with the remains. It was mainly a blocked feed and I know they got bites, just not who, but all had plenty the last feed. All soon in food coma. Mom back to lip at 12:13. At 12:16 when 1 of the chicks cried out, she hopped down for clean up and to stood to brood.

:loveheart: I'm falling down on the job. The cam froze and I didn't notice the sound was off while I concentrated on something else. That's okay, I think they are doing great here. Dad is currently on the lip and there may or may not have been a feed prior to his arrival. I bet there was as all the chicks are asleep without any peeps heard. We'll see what Mom does when she comes back.

As soon as I typed that 1 of them stood and is chirping. I think Dad went down into the nest and started to brood, but changed his mind and went back to the lip. Dad is catching some winks while he babysits. Dad left at about 4:31.

Mom vocal and to the lip at 4:33 without food. She is panting. All the chicks are awake and screaming from her arrival. Then down to the nest to stand and brood. The chicks settle down.

Noticed Mom is on the lip facing us at 4:38. One of the chicks is moving away from the pile at 4:43, so Mom down to the nest to sort. Can hear Dad vocals in the background. Mom is gone at 4:46. She returned at 4:50 and stands to brood and preen.

:eggthumb: Feed in progress! Feed over at 5:40 and all got bites including Mom and she downed a leg at the end. She picked from the floor any scraps and gave to them before leaving.

It was strange at 1st as only 2 could be seen up for the feed with one getting most of the bites. Finally the other 2 chicks could be seen up and it took awhile for chick 4 to push its way through the center of the pile and out in front. Chick 4 ended up receiving 14 bites that I could see. The other chick got a better position when the 1st 2 pulled back and it also received several bites. This 1 had actually been up against the back wall a bit before coming into the feed.

Mom is back in the nest at 5:48 and panting.

:eggthumb: Came in on another feed in progress that is blocked! At least I think it was. She just left at 6:17. She's back to the lip at 6:28, then down to the nest and panting.

:eggthumb: Feed in progress! Could not find chick 4 initially, but eventually realized it was caught in the middle of the pile with its head down and turned the wrong way. It ended up getting at least 11-12 bites at he end of the feed after it came out of the pile, the others all got bites too during the feed. Mom left at 7:26 with the remains and returned a couple minutes later, then back to the lip and back down to the nest to brood. They all slumped and are quiet!

:1val: Will no longer watch the feeds as closely as it all works out by the end of the day. Sometimes 4 doesn't get as many bites, but always seems to make up for it. I can pick 4's scream out from the others. Chick 4 does not mind 1 bit letting her know it still needs to be fed with its screams and she usually notices. They all seem to be doing great, including Dad!

:10sum: A very special treat! Dad is feeding right now! (Prior to Dad's arrival, the chicks were alone in the nest box at least, for a long while and chick 4 was almost constantly screaming.) He brought in the prey and chick 4 was well positioned in front and got many bites. The older ones did too with the exception of 1 in the back. Dad tried to lean over to give it a bite, but just could not reach it. So this chick did not get any bites from Dad.

Dad gave chick 4 too big a bite and chick 4 could not swallow it and was struggling. Dad leaned in to try to remove, then the cam froze. When it returned Dad had removed the bite, but the whole right side of 4's face and beak are a bloody mess from the prey.

At 12:53, another surprise as Mom returns with prey! Dad was feeding from the right and he left at once and left the prey he had been feeding from, in the floor. Mom fed and as she was on the left side of them, the chick who received no bites from Dad was getting most of the bites. She fed all of them more with the exception of 1 who decided to retire from the meal. At 1:00, she left with the remains of her meal.

At 1:02, she returned to pick up Dad's remains of the meal and left with it. Mom returned at 1:04 to brood, but 1st she had to remove spider web she had drug in with her from around her face and front of body. There must be a spiderweb nearby wherever their cache is. All are quiet.

:loveheart: Blocked feed in progress! Saw a little bit at the end and Chick 4 got several bites in addition to some of the others. Mom left with the remains at 8:01. And returns in a couple minutes for clean up and to brood.

:eggthumb: Thanks for your captures, catwoman. It was difficult not being able to check in on everyone yesterday. Internet company I'm with sold us out to another and the switchover has been a nightmare as in no internet! Looking at them this morning it seems the white fluff pile is larger and Mom has to hold her wings out farther to cover!

Oh no! Don't they know the time isn't right to do this with peregrine chicks hatching out all over the place? I was wondering where you were!

:eggthumb: Mom's doing what the men all call the "57 Chevy" pose over all the chicks right now and they are all crying. But, she has them covered.
