North Omaha...

I think we've lost a chick...

Early morning feed. Could only find 1 chick eating. (doesn't mean the others didn't get up...just couldn't find them.

Later in the day.

This chick up pretty quickly

#2 got up, but was sluggish. I saw no movement from #3 during this feed.

I'm a little worried about this nest.

apparently there were 4 hatches...but 2 chicks have died.

(I knew about 1 of the chicks...didn't know about the 4 hatches and 2 deaths.)

Omaha- Mom was perched at the box looking at the 2 chicks…..it looked like they weren’t moving and she flew off. But then they moved a bit- enough to know they are good :girlyes:

(I about had a heart attack…)

Im looking at the Woodmen box. There is a falcon laying down in the box as if they were incubating eggs… Is this Mintake, mourning for his family? Ok, he she got up, and I believe it’s a juvie. Making funny moves in the nest box…Is it trying to lay an egg?

Last I heard it seemed a new male and juvie female took th box.
Its very possible she'll lay an egg or two.

OPPD North station: Go back to 19.37 webcam time and you can see the fire starting that this article is reporting on:

Speed it up, it shows how the fire is developing from small to huge within minutes. After 2 hours thunder storm starts on top of it all. The falcons are unimpressed :teehee:
