Savanna and Julie are on site and
had a fight between females early this am 3/1/23.

Savanna 40/Z and Newman

From RRP notes, I think an egg should be coming.
I'm afraid they'll nest in RLD - under the ledge - hidden.
RRP never cleaned the nestbox and Savannah may smell / taste owl.

Newman has been courting and copulating with Savanna 40/Z, a 2019 hatch from Fargo North Dakota. When Julie 90/Z, a 2019 hatch from the Ford Parkway Bridge in Minneapolis shows up to wrest Newman’s rose away, the two fight and Savanna drives her off.

Falcon Savanna is named for Savanna Greywind, a young native woman who was murdered in Far
go in 2018. I’m glad Savanna is still at Great Spirit Bluff following her fight with Julie. Long may she fly.

Banded bird was on perch quite a bit, then I saw no band bird on cam. It had lots of species. Will try for pictures but time limited

Very strange here. Seeing Newman a bit but that is about it. That ledge is awfully empty :girlcrazy:

Its under the cliff overhang and we cant see.
Newman brings her prey there.
50-50 chance she'll nest there, not in the dirty box

I watched this morning
Saw , Newman . I do believe he took breaking to Female on far side of ledge.

Female spent a lot of time at box, on perch, in box, and on topof cam. I also her saw her perched a bit higher on cliff to left of box

Newman finally got Savannah into the box with him. GOOD.
Sav chased another female off.

is it Newman ? looks so big but I am not used to this angle. It was under the cliff ledge after it flew out of box
Female went under ledge and found prey and was eating an d it was in there also. had to be Newman

I dont know.
Some on explore think its Zooy. hope not. She wont give up easy -
but Savannah is Newman's chosen mate, and he's been fertilizing her like crazy.
She's proly cookin an egg
