OH MY!!

Look what I found while checking on Italy!! I don't know what we called it back in the day, but Birdcam.it has it listed as TIM Tower Rome

I'll have to see what I can find out.

Edit to add:

TIM Transmission Tower, Rome Went live today.

Good news and bad news...first the good news. This is the old Alice and Virgilio nest that we used to watch...last occupied in 2018. This nest started out with 3 eggs with only 1 hatch.

Now the bad news. 2 of the chicks in the picture were taken from the Alex and Vergine nest because they believe that Vergine, resident female, has been killed by an intruder female and they wanted to make it easier on Alex. He is now raising 2 of the 4.

oh my , I just saw the 4 on Fb but I did not read . they were all facing forward and ha d huge crops

:eggthumb: Pretty sure this is the finest bird's eye view of a rescue that I have ever seen. Dale Hollow rescue of DH18 from nest by tree climber Nick Dwyer, arborist who owns his own tree service and has worked with AEF in the past when needed. This is not the video forthcoming from AEF on the rescue, but from the DHEC itself:

Rescue of DH17 and DH18 on 4/26/23.

DH18 the eaglet taken for treatment is male. When AEF was asked if they knew what sex 18 is they replied with the usual jargon of what determinates are needed to make that distinction: DNA, females 30% larger, etc. Then their last sentence they said something like: "we can say with confidence that DH18 is rather petite." Hahaha!
