There is a disturbance in the "force"...

I've been checking the past few days..and often find the eggs unattended...Now I think I know why...

I do not believe this is the resident male...if it is, he has lost his mind and gone into courtship mode. Not good. This explains the unattended eggs...Mom thinks he's gonna incubate..and he doesn't. He just leaves.

No clue where the 2 chicks are. Hope they are ok. Usually a white washed cam by now. Did find a parent.

Adastral Park~cam had been off line, so not much to look at on the DVR to figure out what was going on...

The chick on the right seems unwell. Crop looks full, but it didn't participate in the last feed.

Later...chick appeared to have a seizure..or something..really hard to tell.

Chick has head thrown back...and parent is watching.

Concerned parent grabs chick to pull closer.

Brooding the chick...sibling also observing. Its getting dark, so not sure if we'll be able to observe further until tomorrow..not sure I want to know.

Chat is disabled for this cam...and I couldn't find a contact email. I'm hoping its something simple and the chick can recover. They have been banded..maybe banded today and it was just stressed? Who knows.

Cam had just been restarted...so, no clue what is going on. A chatter stated that 3 were fed this morning. Another chatter witnessed a feed for 3 last evening..

Parent with deceased chick which was left in the box while I was watching. :sorrow:

St Mary's...at least one chick is still alive..and I heard more (can't give you a number)

Mom thinking about feeding the deceased chick...I'm not sure she actually did. this could be very bad news if the deceased chick didn't die of natural causes.

Merton~probably no hope for these eggs...and this is probably a new male who NEVER incubates...a rare pic of him even going in the scrape. Poor eggs and mom...and poor residential Dad..hope he survived the displacement.
