Sorry for the delay...

The band information is as follows. Please note that the female had the state bands (black over blue) placed on the right leg in error. They should have been placed on the left leg.

Female - Marshmallow - Black over Blue - U/03
Male - Squirt - Black over Blue - U/04
Male - Stewart - Black over Blue - U/05

Thanks Apollo. Will there be more video of the event?
And what was so interesting when the person with a camera taped to his hardhat cleaned out the nest box?

Hi Def...

I did a facebook live video of the event. It is on our page here - https://www.facebook.com/soarinhawk/ I know that Indiana Michigan is also creating a YouTube video and I will share that link as soon as its available.

The event was handled a bit different than years past. The Indiana DNR did a PowerPoint which was a bit lengthy but you can advance the video if you don't care to hear all of it. The audio is a bit "iffy" in spots. I had the children sitting behind me :girlcrazy:

They always clean out the nest box at banding.....it sure needed it!!

Thanks so much!! Ya know what, having the colored band on the right leg will make it easy to find her when watching the cam...

I've recorded the numbers on our calendar.

Thanks everyone for the great coverage!!

:loveheart: Im gazing at our little trio here... Looks like Stewart (05) has more of his down picked off...and he is pretty actively working on removing more down. Ooo- Carla was just doing some wingercize after brother Squirt was picking on her...

I'm not a participant on the South Bend forum but I asked the Indiana Audubon, who banded Moxie and Jamie's chicks on Friday, when the South Bend chicks will be getting banded and here is the response.

Could you please get this information to the South Bend forum folks?

Thanks so much and I will let you know the exact date when they message me.

FROM INDIANA AUDUBON:
We're waiting on info from the South Bend County staff, but we hope to band them by Wednesday, presumably in the afternoon. When we get the go ahead this week, I'll share the dates with you.

Just watched a feeding… They are all getting more demanding about who gets the next bite… Stewart got several bites in a row, and Marshmallow got the next big bite. Meanwhile Squirt was looking for His bite, and when dad was too slow, he reached down and pulled off a chunk of prey all by himself. After dad left they were All wingercising like crazy!
