:egg19: Cam back up! Mom was atop the roof with 1 chick out and 3 in the nest. Then she went and ran down the ledge out of sight and immediately back with a meal, so think Dad came in and handed it off. Two chicks out now and feed in progress by Mom!

:egg16: Yikes, just realized I'm not seeing the electronic door opener device on the pen. I'm hoping it was not forgotten. Or maybe it's invisible with a new model this year... :teehee: ! Edit to add: Nope, they put it on the day of!

:egg15: He flew as the chicks did not come out of the nest this time and/or he may be a bit befuddled on seeing the pen for the 1st time this year. Her landed barely in view in front of the pen, then went up to the ledge and down along the side of the pen, then he turned and flew with the prey. They'll probably eat before the day is out.

:egg13: Shoot, I think I just missed a feed. Went in and an adult was in front of the pen and some of the chicks were down there. Then I saw the adult leaving...

:egg19: Nice long feed just wrapped up. Started with Dad coming in with prey and feeding, then Mom arrived with prey and looked as if it would be a dual feed, but something happened that caught all's attention and the parents turned away from the pen and 3 of the chicks ran back to the nest. Intruder in area maybe or some loud noise, don't know. But soon Mom started feeding again. Dad came back and they engaged in a tug of war with Mom's prey, but she won, then he left. A couple chicks played tug of war with a large hunk. The red female won and took it to the nest to eat. Mom kept feeding, then later another tug of war between a couple chicks and the one even stuck it's talons up toward the face of the chick to try for the win. It didn't win and the chick went to the nest to eat. Soon the green girl had her chunk of prey she was working on stolen. But all were fed and doing well it seems.

The green tape on the female frequently looks blue rather than green and you have to go with size sometimes to distinguish her from the male with the actual blue tape.

I know...bummed...I actually had data left over for the month and was looking forward to viewing on my phone. Nope..

Since its a Holiday, don't expect it to be back up until tomorrow...hopefully.

:eggthumb: The lights are out, but with tonight's conditions you can easily see into the nest and all 4 are apparently piled up on the left side.
