Pen opening at Richmond on Wednesday the 14th and they plan on giving updates throughout the day instead of at the end of the day as in past years!!

Sad news from the MEC nest in Mississauga- Rana, black 22/AB (red tape) was found deceased on the MEC property by employees. Scuttle and Dragon Heart are still ok.

First hatch for Dory and Skiff at the Boat House osprey nest at 1:40 pm EDT and has already been named "Skipper" and trying to eat!

Another sad post about the MEC peregrine family in Mississauga, Canada. Yesterday they lost a second fledgling. This time Scuttle (black 21/AB) crashed into one of the buildings with reflective windows and died.

EVanston banding

I could not hear them say band but will look for it . she said she would give it later and never did
banding was was done 2 days ago. ( did not like this banding) We do not do this sort of thing.
It is a male and named Bibli. adult female they named Tekka , male was Coach( so female must be new this year)
not a very goo d check. they drew blood but ??? it was hard to hear somethings

FYI, Bremer was banded on 6/9. (pics under thread)...but, I haven't been able to find info...if anyone stumbles across it, please post...thanks!!

hello to all. Did you notice, the hawk is unfortunately in bad shape this morning. We don't know the cause, but last night he seemed fine and tonight his condition has deteriorated. There are several possibilities, including a virus or a congenital problem that has just surfaced. We would like to step in and transport to St Hyacinth, at least to document his condition even if it turns out he cannot be saved. But we are waiting for government permission to do so. Nature is cruel sometimes, with falcons here the stories are often happy, but unfortunately there are years where things are less good. Thank you all for your kind words and support, more news to follow.
