I also watched here at midnight July 1 and as soon as fireworks started, Female flew onto box. It was really loud down town, and very close to fireworks

Rare that I even find the chick...I wish they had left 1 more chick...I feel bad for "solos"...nobody to play with..

Anyway..

Found a feed....but, Mom took a lot away for another time.

I wonder what the success rate is for Pembina..in terms of nesting. CCB hacked all these VA bridge falcons..for similar safety reasons...but, very poor re nesting results...

Yes, it nice when we have more than one, but it is not so nice, picking , them up off street. A male will have a better chance

so this male is either 40, 38 or 37 days old.
by feathering I think 37 days old

Youngster was being fed on gravel at 5 pm yesterday. We are not sure if he flew yesterday, and came back to eat. He is ready.
As Gord said yesterday, leaving one male there, is the best chance for survival at this site. They get all the food they need and do not get fuelled by antics of others. Thus they stay, as there is no reason to leave. So when they do leave , they are flight ready .
