Super beaks
Other egg appeared to have broken during night. So both seem to have been non viable. With no eggs in bole, there is time for reclutch, if they are so inclined.
I watched her for quite awhile yesterday and felt late afternoon she was picking at something but then she would cover. She would never show anything. But sometime after midnight , when she moved out of bole, no egg and she’ll was in upper right( I was sleeping :holroll: )

:5val: Don't miss the hatch in progress at SWFL for M15 and F23 and the pip in their 2nd egg happening now.

Edit to add:The 1st egg that had a crack in it sometime between 8 and 9 this evening that looked to be a hatch in progress, when turned over since has a crushed inward appearance to it. Hoping it is a hatch in progress and not a collapsed egg. Haven't seen a good view of the other egg recently that had the pip.

M15 arrived at 3:39 to incubate and the 1st egg still has a crushed inward look and unable to see the pipped area of the other egg this view. It may be daylight before it can be seen what is actually going on.

SWFL nest of M15 and F23. Daylight did bring clarification. The egg that was 1st seen to have a crack in it (and went on to have a crushed appearance) and thought to be a hatch in progress is actually egg#2 that was laid by F23. This was 1st seen a little before 9pm last evening. Then the pipped egg 1st seen between 9 and 10pm last evening is actually egg#1 laid by F23. SWFL is very good about keeping up which egg is which by documenting marks on their eggs. So, egg#1 with the pip is progressing on time. Egg#2 will only be at day 33 early this afternoon, I think. This does not bode well for egg#2.

In recapping of the CSU Orange nest, Marri continues to visit the nest and she is doing well. Barru disappeared a couple of months ago, and Cilla said that he wasn't ready to be on his own. :girlsad3:

:5val: Egg#1 (the one that has been pipped) hatched at the SWFL nest of M15 and F23 a few minutes ago! Still wet. M15 has just arrived and about to see his chick! Egg#2 (the one with the crushed appearance) does not look good at this time.

At 7:22 M15 saw his chick for the 1st time. And insisted on brooding by 7:24. F23 flew up to a limb on the nest tree and then to the snag.

:sorrow: From SWFL Eagle Cam:

Congratulations to M15 and F23. Welcome to the world E23! Official Hatch Time for E23 is 7:07:05, E23 was completely out of the shell. It is a bittersweet day for All. Egg 2 was compromised, it did not hatch, the chick did not survive. 12 minutes ago
