Tornadoes tore thru Texas, Ok, Neb, Iowa last nite. I watched on Fox weather TV.

I checked our Nebraska falcons - all appears OK
at N Omaha and Lincoln both.

Woodman falcon perchs on box near window during storm.
No egg in Woodman box.

Nebraska nests fledged no young in 2023.
Hope 2024 is better.

2 hatchlings but neither showing sign of life.
Hope Im wrong.
None survived last year.
Wonder why.

I'm worried about North Omaha, too. I've seen movement in the recent hatch..but, not in the first hatch. Doesn't help that my feed is jumpy..at least for the past hour.

Thought there was going to be a feed this morning...but, I didn't see her feed.

Mom eats a chick.
I feel nauseus.

3 hatched - I dunno bout #3 but its gone

2023 chicks hatched but didnt survive.
Is the nestbox or air toxic?

May 6 -
After the first 2 hatched, she brot prey to feed -
but neither chick raised its head.
Chick #3 raised its head later - May 6 - and got one bite.

Mom carried one dead baby out 7 am May 7

Dawn - She ate the 4th egg and flew away.

:'( 2023 all her young died, ditto 2024

No Omaha young falcons that I know of.
Woodman unproductive this year too.

Any guesses why this pair hatch their young, but chicks dont live.
