Wayne State has reported TWO male intruders. One is a juvenile, but the mature male is slowly winning over Lillie. They have a picture of him offering her food. Go to the cam page for a link to their Instagram page for updates and pictures.
Regal has not been seen. Only time will tell if we end up with any chicks this year.

Wayne State……Hi MISue, thanks for your reply….The way Lillie acted yesterday, it must have been the juvie intruder, because she wanted no part of him. I’m old, and don’t “do” Instagram…. Might the “Peregrines ofSouth East Michigan Facebook page have information eventually?

Thanks Sue, I know things are not good at the nest. Eggs are unattended and

The female at Jackson is Big Red ...her 14th year here!
The male Chayton got run off in 2021.
The male who replaced him is banded but we've never gotten a reading of it. The camera angle changed to show the upper ledge and not the window sill, so no closeups of his band.

Big Red has always laid 5 eggs, so hoping to see one more egg!

I watched Wayne State for a while this afternoon. Is Regal officially gone? Seemed like Lillie stayed on her 3 eggs all day. I did see one adult male come to visit her. She ignored him and he flew away.

Wayne state. I watched back and there was another falcon there a few times . will see what I can see

I watched a bit more and a male was up top for quite awhile and then came down. she was not ready to leave then but male came back and she departed

exchange. female leaves when male comes in

so may no t be your original male,, I do not know , but she has a partner. same scenario as one of my nests last year. we had eggs, turnover. female was alone for quite a few days , eggs were left unattended but a new male came in, eventually helped with incubation and all our eggs hatched( I did not expect all to hatch. ) happens more than what we know. hope thi s helps

Wayne State - South East MichiganPeregrines Facebook group shared some good news on their page. Lillies new suitor has been a faithful provider of prey for Lillie, and has faithfully taken turns incubating the eggs. The Facebook group had a naming contest for the unbanded tiercel, and “Herman” is the name they chose.
