I know that some of us followed Meadow's (Eagle) rescue and rehab. (Apologies...but which nest escapes me at the moment.)

Update: We are sad to share that Meadow has died. This morning when Meadow was picked up for a second feeding, staff discovered multiple fractures in the right wing. Birds that are immunocompromised and emaciated are at risk for other injuries and infections, as their systems are not strong enough to recover. Clinic staff did x-rays in our clinic and then took Meadow to our veterinary partners at Winter Park Veterinary Hospital for another radiograph and consultation. Due to the location and extent of fractures, the wing was inoperable. The combination of a weak immune system, fractures, and infection meant that Meadow’s quality of life would have been severely compromised. As a result, we had no choice but to humanely euthanize the eagle. We are deeply saddened with this outcome. Audubon provides expert care to all of our patients and Meadow is no exception. We are grateful for the outpouring of support and donations towards Meadow’s care.

I am heartbroken , with the news Of meadows passing.
This is the eaglet from Eagle Country, that was blown from the nest and ended up on a branch . Spent the night there with both adults with her/ him. Next day while preening, it fell. EC had contacted officials and she/ he was rescued . We had all hoped for a full I recovery and hoped she could be released after flight training at rehab.
This had become my favorite nest over the years.
As some know I am away till tomorrow but have been watching EC twice a day, awaiting Swampy to branch.

I have kept track of all the Florida nests this year and posted updates as I could.

I will do a write up when I am home. It is the best site

. Deeply saddened, now we must hope the best for Swampy. What pleasure they both have given us

Sorry, Maryanne, I included that item because I thought our Canadian friends would be interested. Raptorette was hatched in Canada Square, daughter of Haven and Malik. Louise at Rockford, Il is her sister. She is nesting in a town in Indiana named Anderson. Her first mate was Peenie, from the Canton, Ohio nest, which is how I started following her.
