:egg6: I opened the Fort Wayne cam this morning and was greeted by a sleeping Jamie incubating his eggs… So I pulled the time line back a bit and found an all too familiar scene- Moxie on her eggs, beak to beak with Jamie, who was asking for His turn. After a couple minutes of this beak to beak conversation, Moxie slowly got up to leave. I really think I saw a happy grin on Jamie’s face as he plunked down on His eggs…

Soarin' Hawk Raptor Rehabilitation Center in Fort Wayne helps to monitor the nest box. The following is from their Facebook page.

Good morning!

The wait will soon be over, we are now in HATCH WATCH
I went over our information from the last 4 years and in 3 of those years the 1st hatch was 36 days from the date the 3rd egg was laid. Our prediction is that the 1st chick for 2024 will arrive on Friday 4-19-24

:loveshow: We will need to keep a close eye on the nest Apollo! Moxie and Jamie are always so happy when their chicks start to hatch.

:dancegirl: I think one of the most interesting things about peregrine falcons is how they can be so fierce on one hand yet take such tender, loving care of their eggs…

From the Soarin' Hawk Facebook page

Moxie and Jamie welcome chick #1, right on schedule I might add! It was still partly in its shell at 12:45pm EST when I captured these shots. I thought she was pretty fidgety with head down most of the morning as if she were talking to the baby

Based on last year's info, chick #2 should arrive on Saturday 4-20-24.
