Thanks, catwoman!

I received an answer to the msg I sent on Tuesday if there was any news on Durand and Aries this season. She replied this evening: "Unfortunately I have not received any information on the nest this year."

OK...so, my curiosity is taking over....I've been researching..very limited, of course..It appears construction is well complete.

I found a yelp review from a person who went to the Rhodes Tower (January, 2024)..and traveled up to the Observation Deck. While up there, s/he saw a falcon flying near the deck.

I went to Google earth, found the Rhodes...then took this pic.

Pic tagged with 9/2023

Is one of those objects a box? Is the black object in the second bay a falcon? In our old pictures of the Rhodes, the box was very visible..and the only thing seen in the 4 bays/alcoves...

I'll email the head of ODNR when I get home tomorrow....to see if I can get any info.

BTW..the original box placement was in the 3rd from the left alcove.

Nice detective work, SGB! Wonder what those things are beside boxes? :egg16:

Those appear to be newly hatched chicks, it looks like!

Boy, that took me down memory land SGB

I remember the year, I phoned their security from St. Albert , Alberta. We were all on a mission to save a chick

Man, it seems like yesterday.

I remember like it was yesterday...I think many of us called that poor Security guard..but, it worked. He called Donna..and the rest is history!! Anytime there was a problem moving forward, Donna was on top of it and up there in a jiff...they even modified the box area to try and prevent chicks getting stuck again..

Scout and Orville are still my favorites...

Just like Miss Edmonton and super dad were mine. I loved Scout and Orville also. But we grew to love Durand as I did Radisson
Where has the time gone.

That little ones name was Zoom! I had a ton of photos of Zoom on an old computer that died and the pictures died with the computer :girlsad3: Donna was so brave to go out there in the dark!!
