Little sweetie! It’s so cute to see his siblings taking turns peering around that corner looking for him, like “ O Brother, where art Thou??”

Mom has come in with some breakfast. The chicks are getting quite aggressive with the food, trying to reach in to grab the prey, or get it away from mom. Moxie rarely loses “custody” of the prey, hanging on to it until the end. Almost like she wants to teach her kids some manners…

Tom is back in box.
When he leaves next time - River will likely follow.

Well, one of the chicks has hopped out of the nest box. Is it Tom again? I can’t tell for sure. Dad stopped in to visit while the chick was out on the rail. The chick thought about returning to the box, but turned and toddled the other direction..

I wondered why there were 3 of them and not 4! After reading the topic, I know why! He's a little adventurer!

I now know that the 4th came back earlier. So my last capture has all 4 in it.

Note all the brown chest feathers.

I checked the weather, and it looked like a severe storm went through Fort Wayne. So I checked in on Moxie and Jamie’s family. First view was of 3 kids laying in the nest box. Missing one! I pulled the time line back and found Moxie there with the three in the nest box…and I pulled it back a wee bit more and caught a partial view of the fourth nestling flapping their wings with all their might! Four safe and sound!
