red has been returned to nest box. will pu t cam up to get some shots

Red has been returned to the nest box and reunited with his siblings. We will continue to monitor him and the other chicks as they continue to grow and develop in advance of fledging. I did a short video( get out of dodge) see what happens after these pictures

It starts off with a discussion between two, and then one tries to get over the front,. He has a cheering squad behind him then confers with fluffy. then tries again. goes into a huddle in box. We can do this. get tough .
and then watch what he tries next. when the tough get going the going gets tough . fluffy comes back out and looks over the situation. they finally decide to go to be d and give another go tomorrow

Pen opens on Tuesday, June 11!! (figures..I'll be gone half the day!!) they probably will have picked the lock by then.

Was watching last night. Sorry no photos but these guys climb the cage and go out of sight. Last night one was up there for at lest 20 minutes, out of sight. It finally came down in middle
